The new face of business
With a sophisticated new look, comprehensively updated interior and more advanced technology than ever before, the New Ford Transit Connect has evolved.
The trademark Transit toughness, durability and functionality still remain, in features including an ingenious load-through bulkhead, and flexible front passenger seating. But this is now an exceptionally sophisticated 1-tonne van equipped with valuable drive-assist technologies many of which are not available in vehicles today. Others help keep drivers connected, hands-free; to help them control and monitor their speed; and even to help protect pedestrians in their path.
Helping to keep you inside the speed limit
The New Ford Transit Connect now comes with optional Intelligent Speed Assist, designed to enhance your speed control and enabling you to concentrate on the road. First, the Traffic Sign Recognition camera automatically detects the current speed limit (when activated), then the system adjusts your maximum speed setting to that limit.
Convenient and Connected
You and your van can now stay connected wherever you are like never before. The new FordPass Connect modem brings you a range of invaluable features such as Live Traffic, Wi-Fi hotspot and eCall. Download the FordPass 2.0 App on your smartphone and you can access even more FordPass Connect features. For example, remote locking & unlocking, remote starting (auto transmission only), vehicle location, and more.

Space for long items with a load-through bulkhead
Available on all van versions with a dual front passenger seat, an ingenious load-through bulkhead lets you carry items up to 3m long in a short wheelbase van (L1) and up to 3.4m in a long wheel-base model (L2). The bulkhead has a flip-up hatch at the bottom, which you can slide long items through and into a storage area beneath the front passenger seats. Behind the bulkhead, there’s room for two Euro-pallets (in L1) or up to four 8’ x 4’ sheets of material (in L2).
Advanced safety technology features
Pre-Collision Assist detects vehicles and pedestrians in the road ahead. It can even detect pedestrians that may be about to cross the vehicle’s path. The system warns you if it detects a potential collision and if you don’t respond it will automatically apply the brakes. This technology is designed to help reduce the severity of accidents, or help avoid them altogether, and functions at speeds of up to 50mph (80kmh). Side wind stabilisation also helps reduce driver stress on journeys in high winds. The system monitors through its sensors, and if a gust is detected, carefully applies the brakes on one side to help the driver stay in lane.
